Second Story for Teens in Crisis is an adolescent group home located in Vienna, VA. We are seeking individuals to fulfill multiple openings for part-time, overnight support staff positions. These positions are responsible for completing a variety of support tasks and related projects, such as assisting the overnight counselor with general residential duties and maintaining a positive living environment. Ideal candidates will be reliable, cooperative, and self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a clean, organized living environment for residents and staff by organizing and restocking supplies, plus cleaning areas of the building as needed

    • Assist the overnight counselor with general residential duties such as conducting bed checks, answering the phone, conducting intake interviews, assisting residents with getting ready for the day, etc.

Schedule:

Shifts are from 11pm-8am (non-negotiable) either one, two, or three nights per week (for a total of 8-27 hours). Candidates may request to work specific days but must work the same days each week. Currently, available shifts are Mondays through Wednesdays (not Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays).

Qualifications:

    • REQUIRED: Must be willing to undergo a background investigation prior to employment and become certified in CPR/First Aid

    • PREFERRED: Prior experience in the mental health field, especially working with teens and/or residential settings

    • PREFERRED: Spanish language fluency

Compensation:

This position is paid hourly at $18.00 per hour.
