Our long-term volunteers are amazing, committed individuals who care deeply about homeless, pregnant, abused, and at-risk youth. On a consistent basis, these volunteers show up for these young people in the best ways. They may sign up as a volunteer groundskeeper to manage the lawn and gardening at one of our shelters for homeless youth. They may act as a tutor to help a fifth-grade student with their math homework. They may clean the kitchen and bathrooms at our teen shelter for runaway youth. Or they may act as a childcare volunteer to read books, change diapers and clothing, and help with feeding for the infant of a teen mom.
Our long-term volunteers go through a high level of screening and vetting, including background checks and a TB screening. If you are applying for a volunteer position that involves you working directly with the youth, please complete the form below, as well as our references form. On our references form, you will be asked to provide three references, people you have known for at least three years.
