Lead Programs That Change Lives
Second Story equips youth and their families with the tools, housing, and communities of support needed to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. We step in during critical moments, helping young people move from crisis to stability and from instability to independence. One of the cornerstones of serving that mission is a portfolio of residential programs serving teens and young adults with crisis intervention, housing assistance, case management, and supportive services to establish stability and provide wraparound support.
We are seeking an experienced, executive-level program administrator with a compassionate approach and belief in our mission. The Vice President of Residential Services provides executive leadership for three of the region’s most impactful youth-serving residential programs. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, strengthen programs, develop future leaders, and ensure exceptional services for youth and young families facing homelessness, family conflict, housing instability, and other significant challenges.
About Our Residential Services
The Vice President oversees a continuum of residential programs that provide safe housing, counseling, case management, life-skills development, family engagement, and supportive services for vulnerable youth and young families throughout Northern Virginia.
Current programs include:
- Second Story for Teens in Crisis, including emergency and short-term residential services for adolescents experiencing family conflict, crisis, or homelessness.
- Second Story for Young Mothers, supporting pregnant and parenting young women and their children through housing, counseling, parenting education, and life-skills development.
- Second Story for Homeless Youth, providing longer-term housing and supportive services that help young adults transition toward self-sufficiency.
Together, these programs serve youth and young adults during some of the most challenging periods of their lives and help them build the foundation for a successful future.
