Join our 2S Task Force

As part of our 2S Task Force, you’ll receive emails when Second Story has an urgent need that requires the community’s help. These kinds of needs include in-kind donations, volunteer assistance, monetary support, or help spreading the word about an issue or event. While you can always check this page to view our current program needs, we will only email you when pressing needs or critical updates arise. You can opt out at anytime.

Donate

The simplest and most effective way to help Second Story fulfill our mission is to make a monetary donation that we can apply across our programs. Your donations are deeply impactful: $100 provides two weeks of food for a young woman and her child at Second Story for Young Mothers, $500 provides fifteen counseling sessions for the children and teens who are at risk and participating in our after-school programs, and $1,000 provides one teenager with a safe haven, warm bed, food, and round-the-clock support for four nights at Second Story for Teens in Crisis.

Host a Fundraiser

There are other ways to help with financial support, too. A great way to spread the word and involve your community is to host a fundraiser. There are several ways you can do this.

  1. Host a Facebook fundraiser. Learn how here.
  2. Start a Gofundme and share it with your community.
  3. Reach out to your community groups (like your church, parents’ group, book club, etc.) and consider hosting a fundraiser.

For more information or if you want to host a fundraiser, contact our Vice President of Development. We’d love to talk about your ideas and provide support!
