Jade Leedham is the Chief Executive Officer of Second Story, an organization dedicated to supporting young people and families in crisis.
Jade’s connection to Second Story began in 2009, when she volunteered with the Culmore Safe Youth Project (CSYP). Her commitment to serving young people is rooted in her personal experiences growing up in Fairfax County and her deep understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable youth and families in the community.
After joining the Second Story team in 2010, Jade spent more than three years working directly with young people in the Annandale and Culmore Safe Youth Project programs. Through this experience, she saw firsthand the transformative impact of Second Story’s work and was inspired to expand her leadership. In 2013, she took on the organization’s lead development role, building the foundation for a strong and sustainable fundraising program that continues to support Second Story today. She also provided strategic direction for the organization’s outreach, communications, and marketing initiatives.
In addition to her work with Second Story, Jade has led her own private marketing and development venture, where she helped connect major corporations with diverse communities and audiences. Her professional path reflects a lifelong commitment to creating opportunities, strengthening relationships, and advancing causes that make a meaningful difference. Shaped by her own experiences and guided by a deep belief in the importance of strong communities, Jade has consistently pursued work that aligns with her passion for helping young people and families thrive.
Today, Jade continues to advance Second Story’s mission as CEO, bringing a distinctive combination of frontline experience, entrepreneurial expertise, strategic vision, and steadfast dedication to young people and families.
In her free time, Jade enjoys life’s quieter pleasures – meaningful friendships, a good book, memorable meals, and revisiting her love of music whenever inspiration strikes.
